A work permit is essentially issued to foreign teachers living and working in Vietnam. It is issued by the competent authorities in Vietnam to foreign workers when they are fully qualified according to the provisions of the labor code in Vietnam.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Is it illegal for foreign teachers to come to Vietnam to work without a work permit?<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n

    According to Decision 154 of Labor Law in 2019, there are 20 cases that have work permit examption. However, foreign teachers Vietnam are not in this group.       According to Clause 1, Article 4 of Decree No. 152\/2020\/ND-CP, enterprises employing foreign workers must report the need of using foreign teachers to the nearest Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs 30 days before the date foreign teachers start working for the enterprise.
